What's the difference between active and passive participants?

Both active and passive participants will both benefit greatly from this masterclass. The difference is active participants will be able to sing on stage and work directly with Seth and Margareta. The reason the number of active participants is limited is in order to give them enough time to work with Seth and Margareta. However, because there are certain issues that most singers face, and many similar questions that are asked. Watch a peer doing vocal work with Seth is incredibly informative to all other participants .

Are the active participants guaranteed to sing in front of Seth and Margareta?

Yes. In a masterclass with Seth and Margareta, it's common for them to work with one singer on stage for 10-15 minutes while the other participants watch and take notes. Only active participants can be called up on stage. Active participants spend a total of about one hour working with Seth and Margareta onstage.

Can the passive participants interact with Seth and Margareta?

Absolutely. Every participant can ask questions and discuss with Seth and Margareta.

Is there an age restriction for this masterclass?

The recommended age for this masterclass is 13 years old and older. The reason for this is that the masterclass will be mostly technical, and lasts for a good 5 hours everyday. 

What are the key topics that will be included?

Speech Level Singing method will teach you to sing with ease and with very minimum tension in your voice> Just like speaking, singing should feel natural. The masterclass will also include English diction and articulation, using vowels to produce the best vocal tone, finding your mix, how to navigate through your vocal registers, how to handle passaggio or the bridge between your chest and head voice, and many more. 

Where can I do follow up lessons with approved SLS teachers after this?

You can find detailed info about SLS on their website. Please note that only the names listed on the SLS website are qualified and certified SLS teachers. The closest to Indonesia would be Daniel Singh in Singapore. 

Is it possible to have a one on one session with Seth Riggs?

Yes. It is possible to have one on one session with Seth outside of the masterclass schedule, though time slots are limited and an additional cost will apply. Please consult the committee.

Can I record the masterclass?

Video recording is not permitted. The course committee will inform more specifically at the beginning of the masterclass if there are any exceptions to this and the policies for audio recording.
